We stayed at the Casa Marina which was just a short walk away from the Strip House. I have dined here before, but this time it seemed like there was a more limited menu. Still with some great items, but would have liked to see more of a seafood selection. I realize it is a steak house but most do usually have more than just one fish option. Our waiter was attentive but not smothering.

We've dined here primarily because it was the restaurant at the hotel we were staying at. We loved hanging out on the patio that overlooks the ocean. The inside is very dark like an old school lounge. We came here twice for lunch during our stay and a few other times grabbed a drink. The food was solid although nothing spectacular. We split the quesadilla, grouper bites as an appetizer and pepperoni pizza for lunch. I liked the thin pizza crust which made it pretty light. The quesadilla was probably my least favorite - I thought it was bland. The other "lunch" was late afternoon before our early evening flight. I had the grouper sandwich (grilled) and it was pretty tasty. The fish was fresh and there was a good balance with the sauce. The french fries were crispy and hot. The drinks were strong and balanced which is what you'd expect since they are somewhat expensive. Service was mixed. The bartenders (their names escape me) were all fantastic - friendly and helpful. The servers were just okay. Service at lunch was slow. I think it took them over 30 minutes to bring out my fish sandwich (with no explanation). Things are a bit pricey. I somewhat expect that since it is (a) a steakhouse and (b) attached to a resort. I'm wouldn't make a special trip, but it was a solid, convenient option for hotel guests.

My return trip here was just as good as my previous and my fav waiter Luther even remembered me from last year. Came to celebrate my birthday and reserved a cozy corner booth so when the lights went down it was perfect for a snuggly couple. Ordered a bottle of Masi Amarone, ended up with a Tommasi amarone, which was still darn good. they used to have an appetizer called the gorgonzola fondue which totally rocked but they took it off the menu. However, Luther was kind enough to bring me some melted gorgonzola with our bread service which made us very happy. For an appetizer we had the bacon salad ($12.00) which is like a deconstructed BLT with pork belly. This was very good and quite large for the price. For dinner, well with a second bottle of wine, he had the 22ox bone in ribeye ($45.00) and I had the scallops with succotash ( $25.00) We also had a side of the green beans ($8.00) Everything was delicious. The scallops and the steak were done perfectly, the beans nice and crunchy., I didn't care for the succotash too much, but that;s just me. For dessert Luther compd me a 28 layer chocolate cake that was so huge we brought most of it back to the hotel and still had two more servings. (It's regularly $14.00 and worth every penny) With the romantic atmosphere, the water views and the delicious food here, I'll always make it a point to come back when in Key West.

This restaurant is a chain and the main place is up in NYC. In Key West, The Strip House is located in the Hilton Waldorf Astoria. The seating outside on the deck overlooking the pier and ocean was beautiful! This has a great location and was such a nice spot to watch the sun set. The service was very professional and attentive. Our waiter, Kelly, seemed to be very knowledgeable. He even recommended a second choice wine to my husband, who said it was good. The menu is set up with family style shared sides, however the portions are much too large for two people. I wish that they offered half portioned sides for smaller parties. We shared the mushrooms (delicious but could feed 4-8 people easily!) and the potato ramonoff (I loved this but the hubs did not care for it much. This could be shared by 4 nicely). For entrees, the NY Strip and the special black grouper did not disappoint. The steak is cooked with pressure on both sides and comes out nicely seared and full of flavor! The black grouper was pan cooked and topped with a mango chutney. It was very fresh and flavorful. The portions were nice and we enjoyed sharing them both to get a taste of land and sea. The ambiance inside is interesting as well. It's decorated with photographs that a French couple took together in the 1940's I believe. Many are partially or fully nude and would have been very risque for their time in the U.S. especially. Definitely worth a look around.

This is a wonderful place for upscale cuisine as part of the Reach Waldorf Astoria Resort. The ambiance is very romantic in sense as the outdoor seating is directly on the beach so you can see and smell the ocean. The inside is like a 1930s style cigar lounge (without the cigar or smell :)) with some nude photography (Hense the name), although it suits and is tasteful. The service is slow pacing as it should for an upscale a la cart style cuisine, as you can savor each course and relax in between. As mentioned, the food is served a la carte. The scallops, rip eye and truffle creamed spinach are amazing!!!! I would definitely recommend this place but only if you are prepared to put in the extra $$. Estimate about $50-60/person without alcoholic beverage included.

Great ocean view - Sit on the deck if you can! And the theme is great as well. I love the old photos and the inside decor. The service was a little slow though. The food was prepared perfectly, especially the meat. The sides are tasty and great for sharing. I had the mac and cheese - YUM! They also have a pool table, which was fun after dinner. I'd totally go back.

Very disappointing that this restaurant does nothing to accommodate vegetarians or vegans. I have been a vegetarian since 14 years old and most restaurants will at least have a couple of dishes I could eat. Nothing here! Nice staff.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We ate both a lunch and dinner here. The dinner was by far the better meal. The patio looks directly onto the beach. There is small sitting area with a pool table just off to the side. The restaurant is quite large, so we opted to sit in the lounge, which is very very dark at night. The ambiance reminds me of an old oak cigar lounge. The service was superb. Someone was always checking on us, without being bothersome. We enjoyed a lovely scallop dinner with a mango sauce (special of the night) and a double pork loin chop. For the record, it wasn't technically a 'double loin' but it was thick and juicy served with a nice wine reduction. If you like chocolate cake, you must order a piece. It's mile high, so moist with a good amount of icing! We were advised the hotel does not actually own the restaurant so you don't need to be a guest to enjoy it. My only complaint is that they close at 10pm. Seriously? That's early. We were always racing to make it for a night cap! Come on.. a lounge should be open for at least drinks and snacks until late. I'm on vacation!! I won't be in bed at 10pm. And like most restaurants in Key West, 18% gratuity is automatic.

I was staying at The Casa Marina Resort with some old college buddies and prior to our arrival, I contacted the Concierge at Casa because we wanted a nice place to have Thanksgiving dinner. The Concierge, Stacy, recommended The Strip House in their sister property, so I made reservations. After we were seated, our server Jill introduced herself and explained that some of the menu items weren't available, but there was one bone-in Ribeye left, which I ordered. After the steak came, Jill never once came back to check on us, and the steak was horrible. I was shocked at how bad it was and that Jill not once came over to see how things were going. This was the first time I have ever left a 1 penny tip and I contemplated actually deducting money from the bill, but that might have had unintended consequences. Thanks Strip House for ruining Thanksgiving dinner.

The only reason that I didn't like it was it was highly overpriced for no reason. The Lobster Bisque and the Prime Rib was delicious.

I use Yelp fairly often to assess the worthiness of a restaurant. I rarely write reviews if there is an abundance of them and the rating is similar to what I would give. For this restaurant I felt compelled to write about our experience. Our waiter was Luther who in my opinion is an excellent waiter. He was kind, patient and his explanations were spot on. The food was excellent!! If you like chocolate (who doesn't ?), then order the 24 layer chocolate cake a la mode. It easily can feed 4 people. ENJOY!!

Pedestrian food at sky-high prices, with service so bad, it makes you wonder if the staff is on strike. Yes, the view from the patio is good. But the view isn't good enough to make up for never being asked what you want to drink, or never having your drink refilled, or waiting forever to place your meal order, or waiting forever for the check after the meal is over. The steak--what this place is supposedly known for--was over-salted. It was the only flavor you could taste. The whipped mashed potatoes were cold. The macaroni and cheese had shallots in it. Shallots. In macaroni and cheese. This ingredient was not listed on the menu and initially, the waiter denied they were part of the dish even though they were clearly visible and their flavor completely overwhelmed everything else. Bottom line, this is someplace to avoid on your next trip to the Keys. Better food can be found in a vending machine.

I don't recommend eating here, but at least get a drink here. The restaurant is right on the beach. The outside seating has beautiful views of the ocean, but I think the inside is just as stunning. If has the feel of a classy cigar lounge. Deep reds and cherry wood every where. Then there are the 1930's, very tasteful, black and white pictures of semi-topless women. They really do add to the ambiance of this place. My biggest complaint was the service. Service was fast, but in my option, too fast. This is a place where your suppose to enjoy the atmosphere, your drinks, your food, and your company. I felt rushed. Typically, my dinning experience in a place such as this is minimum 1 1/2 hours. We were pushed out the door in 45 minutes! We weren't even done with our appetizer when our main course came! Getting to the food... The calamari was okay, a little on the greasy side. The sea scallops were perfectly cooked, but I don't think pairing them with succotash is a wise choice. It was all too bland. My opinion is that scallops should have a sauce or glaze of some kind, not corn and Lima beans. Skip the goose fat potatoes. It sounded so different and interesting! And against our servers recommendation, I ordered it. ...it tasted like a deep fried, unsalted hash brown. I was so disappointed. The steak was tender and perfect! And the black truffle creamed spinach was unlike anything I've ever had before (I'm still craving it). If I had to eat just one thing for the the rest of my life, this cream spinach would be it! The mixed drinks were very good and very strong.

We've eaten here a few times now, as we stay at the hotel attached to the place (or vice versa..?) The food is okay. There were a few botched orders and the breakfast buffet is meager and expensive, most of the staff (Eastern European guys) never smile (thanks to the tipp being included in the bill I guess) but the real downer of this place (not owned by Hilton) is the tacky decor. If never eat indoors. I'm no prude, far from it, but to see dozens of naked women stare at you in life sized portraits from ever corner, every wall, just isn't very appealing to my appetite... But a few graffiti members were really nice and the view is good, so it's with a couple of stars. But unless you stay here and kinda "have" to eat here? Don't! Ever...

Had small breakfast buffet. Nothing More like other hotels would call continental breakfast. Paid 120$ for 2 adults 2 children. Added in 18$ tip for no service. Definitely wasn't worth the money.

This is just for lunch. It was okay. Had the conch fritters to starts. They were very salty, but the lime aioli definitely made them taste better. I had the tuna lettuce wrap which was literally that - a scoop of tuna, a little portion of cubed tomatoes and cucumber served with a a little under a quarter of a iceberg lettuce to wrap everything up together. Very carb conscious. My mom had the cuban and it was very good and BIG. Both orders came with a generous portion of french fries. Worth $50? Definitely not, but if you're hungry, you're hungry. And the view of the beach and turquoise water is quite nice. Especially if you've just arrived from the wintery northeast.

I really didn't know that such mediocre food could be so expensive. It's not that the standard diner omelet, cold potatoes, gas station coffee, and bacon with the consistency of wet cellophane were the worst food I ever ate. But you shouldn't pay $26 for it. If you're staying in the hotel, don't let them treat you like a captive audience: eat somewhere else.

Happy Hour is not very Happy! Wanted to have a drink and then dinner. Happy hour sign says half off of glasses of wine. Apparently you have to go to the Bar to enjoy it, instead of sitig outside where no one was sitting. When we asked why if the happy hour sign is outside, do we have to go inside? That's common was the answer. We said what about common -- sense? Apparently not!

We stopped here in the afternoon, since I was sick all day... and By this time, we still had 3 hours til dinner. so we had an afternoon snack. The kitchen was closed but the bartender happily gave us a menu and said he'd see what they could do... We got the Chicken quesadilla w corn. yum. great bite after having food poisoning all morning!

I was there the week of Thanksgiving 2012 with several adults that enjoy high end good food. I think this restaurant would of had the potential to be all that but our waiter was so rude and unprofessional we all had to get up and leave before the food arrived. His name was Hollis. He should be fired immediately!!! He's horrible for business and I hope the owners find out before its too late. He also goes by the name "Sarah" when he's being a smart mouth which is most of the time. Very bad experience!

It was our first time at Strip after coming to KW for years The outdoor deck is amazing. The inside dining room was nice as well with good views too. We were hopeful for a great dining experience since Strip is part of the Waldorf Astoria. We were not disappointed My partner and I had sat enjoying the view as we sipped our wine. The steaks are incredible. We also had a crab stuffed lobster tail that was exquisite. We saved room for dessert because the server told us how good they are. He didn't disappoint. The key lime pie is silky smooth and tart. My partner had the caramelized banana tart. Both were delicious. We left after 2 hours of having a wonderful meal while enjoying looking out at the Atlantic. We will be back again Special features: fit for foodies, great for outdoor dining, notable wine list, romantic, scenic view, special occasion I would recommend this to a friend

Four dudes (including me) went here in between Thansgiving and Christmas, when Key West is essentially a ghost town. For the majority of the evening we were the only occupied table in the house. They seated us right next to the open doors, facing the waterfront. The atmosphere is quite cool with dark, red walls gussied up with tasteful pictures of naked women. We ordered the seafood tower which was more than enough for the four of us, followed by 3 filet mignons and a ribeye for me. The boys said the filets were excellent. The cut of my ribeye was great - I could tell it was a high-quality meat - and the crusting on the steak was just right. Oddly though, they seemed to have poured salt over it AFTER it was cooked making it far too salty in the center of the steak. I just ate around that. The sides were a different spin on what you normally get at a steakhouse. The basics were there: corn, mac and cheese, spinach, but they were each seasoned up in unique ways. For instance, the creamed spinach had truffles in it...really good. For dessert we got the 24 layer chocolate cake. It's really more of a gimmick, nothing special there IMHO. The night overall was great until the very end when our waiter brought us the bill accompanied with a "you know, it is customary in the service industry to tip using cash...you know...for the obvious reasons". Thanks d-bag, make us feel good and comfortable all night and then start making compensatory demands. We responded with 4 credit cards and eye-rolls. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place, though. The bar looks like a great place to sit and drink the day away. Next time!

Ive been to many steak houses, so im basing this review off of other experiences. Add a half star to my rating. The lobster bisque was fantastic, and the decor of the restaurant was really cool. Other than that, the meal was mediocre at best. My wife and I ordered several dishes so we could try different things. The salad would've been fine, but they drenched it in dressing. My steak was slightly over cooked, which wouldn't have bothered me, if it was a good steak. It wasn't. My wife also got a small filet with the surf & turf, and she was underwhelmed. The stuffed lobster tail was eh. nothing to write home about. Mashed potatoes were bland. Mac & Cheese sounded great, but they were a miss as well. I had a couple glasses of wine, and my wife had a couple martinis. She said they were great. Since we were not impressed with our meal, we skipped dessert all together. The service was fine up until we finished our meal. We sat for quite a long while waiting for our check/refill of water/ask if we wanted dessert. Something. Anything. By this time, we just wanted to leave. We have a Strip House here in NY and always wanted to try it. We were excited to see it located right across the street from our hotel in Key West. But disappointed in the visit. The bill came close to $200 with tip. Which I'd rate as pretty average for a good steakhouse. But I've spent less, and had better. We've been to Steakhouse's from NY, to Vegas, to Chicago to TX. We'll quickly forget this one.

While waiting for our room to be ready before check in , we decided to grab a quick bite. Keep in mind that the review is for a quick brunch/lunch, i have not tried their dinner. Didn't want to go inside because it looked way to shi shi, so opted for the patio. Sat down anywhere and was told by a waiter that a waitress will be right with me. Nope, 10 minutes of staring at my table without a menu, waiter came back, first blamed the waitress for not help me, and proceed in handing me a menu. While waiting to order, got the conch fritters. a hot dog special for the kid, and a hamburger for myself. Wife got the tuna salad. Food took forever to come out, with the amount of customers there, you would think that kitchen was not too busy. Fritter turned out to be fairly good, the key lime sauce made it that much better, although i thought it may be a bit salty. Tuna salad turned out well, while the burger and the hot dog special was just so so. Pricey, already added 18 percent gratuity and tax to your bill, don't bother leaving a tip because the service was just so so. I must say that it is convenient to be out by the beach having a burger. Location is great, wish service and food was better... happy eating

The Strip House has it figured out! Reservations a must to ensure prompt service! Food, staff, and ambiance are all the reasons to go here! Steaks that are broiled at 1500 degrees to your taste is an excellent way to go! I went here for my birthday, on a Tuesday night, and if I received service like this on a weeknight, I can't wait to go back on a Friday! Luther, our server walked us through our wonderful experience. The wild mushrooms were one of the specials this evening, and being a fan of Umami, I had to get them, and was not disappointed! For my entree, I had the 16oz NY strip cooked medium. PERFECTION is what was placed in front of me! I have never seen as thick a cut as that one was, cooked so beautifully. My wife had the filet mignon 8oz medium well, and although I am a firm believer that anything after medium, you start to cook out the flavor, but not this time! Her baked potato was perfectly seasoned, and came with ALL the fixings! Sides are served family style. The staff is broken down into, waiters, servers, and the water staff, so you are constantly catered to. They serve from the left, and take from the right, make excellent recommendations, and have a very well rounded understanding of customer satisfaction. Steaks in Key West fall second to seafood, but The Strip House keeps them on the forefront of fine dining. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The food was just ok - i really wanted it to be a lot better - the location is wonderful but for my money - i would stick with Louie's!

beautiful patio environment. food was so, so. we ordered Caesar salad and margarita pizza. The salad was OK, but small for the price. The pizza was box pizza and i was very disappointed. I was looking forward to fresh tomatoes and basil and I got what i could have purchased myself if I had gone to the store. unfortunately, won't return.

A fabulous meal on the deck looking South into the Atlantic - this was our third Strip House we've tried, and we have yet to be disappointed. The Filet I had was perfect - nicely charred and seasoned with salt and pepper - and I had what has to be the BEST conch chowder I've ever tasted. A perfect dining experience all around. Even with the high price tag, we got our money's worth.

The food we had at the Strip House was pretty good. We tried the conch chowder and a fish sandwich. It was a bit prcey but understandable for a resort/hotel restaurant. We sat out on the patio, which was a great place to have lunch. The weather was nice so we were patient with the short handed wait staff. They did give out free samples of a pina coloda, so I decided to order one because it tasted pretty good.

"The Strip House was incredible... Very rarely does one find all of the combination's of food, service, and atmosphere so perfectly balanced. Maybe we got lucky, but having worked in fine dining for years, I think Strip House will be my mainstay while I live here. Our server, Roy was exceptional. His knowledge and recommendations were right on time. My diner companion loves Maine lobster, which was one of their specials that night. She was tentative about ordering for fear of overcooking. The look on her face after her first bite was one of total enjoyment. My NY strip steak was cooked to perfection. The black truffle creamed spinach, to die for. Dessert must include their 24 layer chocolate cake. Strip house is a gem in a sea of mediocrity."

One of the best meals we have ever had! It is hard to spend over $200 and thinki and think it was worth the money.... Strip House was worth every penny. The food, the service, the atmosphere, all worth it. The steak and pork chop were fantastics. The appetizers and sides were delicious. A defeinite must eat in Key West!

The view is amazing, right on the beach! The mushroom bucatini were perfectly cooked, the grouper and cream spinach were fantastic. Perfect for a romantic dinner, a must try!

Great Food. but the Service was terrible. There were problems with our bill and the manager was not a help at all. She tried to bill our group for extra food...l

In the Strip House we got our best breakfast in 3.5 weeks of vacation in Florida (and believe me, we've tried out maaaany different places! :-)) Good choice of products at the buffet, good quality and the service staff was very friendly.
(5)Jamie B.
So disappointed in the service. Management was immature, unorganized and unaccommodating.

Somewhere around 4.5 stars. Excellent meal, a lot of food in each order - more than we could eat. Tuna, steak, hamburger and desert were all delicious.
(4)Daniel D.

Next time!

Underwhelmed Food quality was fair and service was so so. Nice location.

My mother-in-law had her wedding at the Reach Resort (attached to the Strip House), and we had dinner here. Food was delicious and the staff was treated us like we were all good friends. Best meal we had in Key West.
(5)Julie S.
Such an enjoyable dinner on the patio. I had the strip steak and my hubby had the filet...both were fabulous and the goose fat potatoes were to die for! The food, the service, and the atmosphere were wonderful!

The ambiance is very romantic but not too appropriate for kids on the count of all the nude painting and pictures The food is very good and service is even better

They have written the book on the perfect crust!!! The steaks have this thick perfection layer of crusty yumminess atop of expertly cooked (for us med rare to rare) slab of lovely marbled meat. The sides (which are additional) that evening were potatoes roman off to which coincidentally had a lovely crust of it's own and filled with cheese, s cream and chives.... Accompanied with tender blanched asparagus. Going backwards; we began with a gorgonzola fondu which we were given perfect sqr logs of (to me somewhat greasy) garlic toast and calamari with two good but uninspired sauces (sweet chili w parsley straight from Sysco foods and a marinara). The ambiance has split personalities. Inside decor is regular Strip House (bordello/brothel/burlesque) but outside is standard (but elegant) Key West Oceanside resort deck. I know I sound flippant as if KW Oceanside isn't good enough... But there should have been more follow- through w the decor. Give me some of that soft red lighting either on the table or surround. Maybe a velour seat cushion. A tassel or two....?!? The pace of the meal is very slow and the place was empty on a Saturday night at 9:30. It was a little off putting to be one of 3 tables and still waiting for everything as if they were serving at least a half full place. Desert arrived and I opted for Creme Brûlée as I know at least the hard crack is fresh (can't do that in too much in advance) while everyone else took the bait and had 24 layer chocolate cake they saw on the other table. So, here I go again sounding bitchy but I happen to know from experience that mostly those cakes are not made from high cocoa count and somehow are usually stale tasting. I was right... Sometimes that feels good but only my Honey and myself noticed so I was the snob for pointing it out by almost gagging. I give it 4stars for the steak...it's specially and namesake I give the 4 stars for the steak and being that is the specialty and name sake of the joint....

The food was just ok - i really wanted it to be a lot better - the location is wonderful but for my money - i would stick with Louie's!
(3)Vicki H.
beautiful patio environment. food was so, so. we ordered Caesar salad and margarita pizza.

(5)Mike T.

(5)Robert F.
